Right hand
Bronze
h.21cm
2nd-3rd century AD
A masculine right hand, slightly larger than a life-size with all fingers bent, except for the extended thumb and the little finger slightly lifted. Defining what it was holding is quite difficult, perhaps a pole, as to describe the hand’s exact position. For sure, it belonged to a sculpture entirely made in bronze or just with the limbs in that metal, and the face were probably depicting a young man.
