Exhibition catalogue of the homonymous show at the Tritone Exhibition Space. Starting from an excursus about the history of the scientific activity developed by the Society of Jesus from its origins, the book explores the delicate theme of the relations between religion and astronomical studies, the observation of the moon and the reformation of the Gregorian Calendar. Exceptional testimonies are the documents from the Clavius Fund of the Pontifical Gregorian University of Rome including the correspondence between father Christopher Clavius an Galileo Galilei and the contemporaneous scientific devices on loan from the Astronomical and Copernican Museum in Rome \u2013 INAF. At the end, the book introduces father Angelo Secchi, creator of the modern astrophysics. In the volume there are also the entries of the object on show, with a scientific in-depth analysis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
